Operation paperclip was an operation run and funded by the US Government. The JIOA (joint intelligence objectives agency) carried this out by special agents of the army. This operation brought in 1,600 Nazi scientists, engineers and technicians from Germany. Wernher von Braun and his V-2 rocket team were recruited from Germany to America for employment within the US Government. Most of which were members or leaders from the Nazi party.
